I have now reviewed each of items within the Soap Box from Fortune Cookie Soap so here is a wrap up of the box including the value for each item, the overall value of the box, and my box awesomeness level.

Box Awesomeness Level Review (AL)

  • 5 points for an item that surpasses everything else I’ve tried and becomes my #1 choice for what role it fulfills
  • 4 points for an item that becomes added to my permanent collection of cosmetics and I will repurchase
  • 3 points for an item that joins my “I might buy this again” list
  • 2 points for an item I finished or will finish the entire sample of but in the end decided not to re-purchase
  • 1 point for an item that I tried and immediately threw out/gave away
  • 0 points if the item was a duplicate of something from a previous bag/box/kit that only scored a 1 in that box – meaning I knew enough to not even bother with trying it.

The Soap Box – Fortune Cookie Soap in Spring Break in Cancun Review

Here is another product from my Soap Box from Fortune Cookie Soap.

Fortune Cookie Soap in Spring Break in Cancun is a hand soap. This is the original soap shape that gave the company its name. There is nothing extra special, it is a soap, in the shape of a fortune cookie in an neat fragrance. It cleans just as well as I expect from any soap, not leaving my hands particularly dry or particularly moisturized – but I do love using it mostly because it is sooooo cute.

The scent is nice, it is light and makes me think of the beach. It almost has a little bit of a fresia scent too, but mostly ocean and “just after rain” scents.

This was full sized. The normal product sells for about $3.00 depending on the variety, the value of this sample was $3.00.

The Soap Box – Body Wash in “Wake Me Up Before You Mango” Review March 16, 2012

Here is another product from my Soap Box from Fortune Cookie Soap.

“Wake Me Up Before You Mango” Body wash is supposed to clean and moisturize your skin.  This is a watermellon colored gel that has little beads suspended in it – I don’t know what they are but I also don’t notice them when I use the product.

The scent, it is like a very sugary mango/peach scent, I totally end up salavating when I smell this. It cleans just fine – no better or worse, in my estimation, than other body washes I’ve used, but it is a fun change from my normal.

Again, this product suffers from the same problem as the hand sanitizer did – the hard container. The full size of this product is 4oz so hopefully in the full size it squeezes out more easily.

This was a 1 oz sample. The normal product is 4 oz and sells for $9.99 the value of this sample was $2.49.

The Soap Box – “Voted Best Ever” body lotion in Granny Panties Review March 15, 2012

Here is another product from my Soap Box from Fortune Cookie Soap.

“Voted Best Ever” body lotion in Granny Panties. This is supposed to soften, replenish, and moisturize.  This is a green cream that has little darker green chunks suspended in it – I don’t know what they are but they go away when rubbed into my skin.

I’m not quite sure how to describe the scent, maybe a little like aloe and shea butter? Regardless, it smells fresh and clean and is not obtrusive. My hands feel a tiny bit oily after rubbing this in, but not terribly so. I will keep using this.

This product suffers from the same problem as the hand sanitizer did – the hard container. The full size of this product is 4oz so hopefully in the full size it squeezes out more easily.

The Soap Box – OCD Hand Sanitizer in Justin’s HARD Lemonade Review March 14, 2012

Here is another product from my Soap Box from Fortune Cookie Soap.

This is the OCD Hand Sanitizer in Justin’s HARD Lemonade. This is supposed to both sanitize and moisturize hands.  This is a cute bright yellow gel that has sparkles suspended in it. You might see a little sparkle on your hands after using it – but it’s not like tinkerbell threw up on you.

The scent really does smell like Mike’s Hard Lemonade, or maybe Smirnoff Ice – it is strong if you stick your hand up to your nose, but from the distance between my face and my keyboard it is barely detectable, and the scent goes away after just a few minutes.

I don’t think it is especially moisturizing, however it is not as drying as things like purell.

My biggest complaint about this product is the packaging. This is a full size sample so I can only assume their normal packaging is the same as this – the problem is the plastic is so hard that I find it challenging to get product out of the spout. I think the bottle needs to be a little less stiff, maybe a tube would be better?

This was a 1 oz sample. The normal product is 1 oz and sells for $2.89 the value of this sample was $2.89.

The Soap Box – Whipped Cream in Hawaiian Ice March 13, 2012

Another part of the Soap Box from  Fortune Cookie Soap is the Whipped Cream in Hawaiian Ice. It is a body butter.

Fortune Cookie soap explains that there are lots of vitamins in this cream however the skin can only absorb so much nutrient at a time, so it is better to use a thin layer frequently than a  heavy dose once a day.  I, like many women, Suffer from dry elbows and knees so I have been using this a couple times a day. It works. It feels super creamy and just melts into my skin. After a few hours the spots I’ve used this still feel really nice and moisturized. This is especially great in the winter when my skin is the most peeved.

The scent is also great! It makes me think of beaches – mostly because my favorite old school sun tan lotions smelled like coconut or a piña colada.  This does too – it is not sickeningly sweet – it is just nice and light and yummy. Speaking of Yummy, clear as day the packaging says “Not intended For Human Consumption” I think thats cute since it does smell good enough that some people might get confused!

Anyway, I highly love this product and will likely buy more and try different scents in the future.

This was a 1 oz sample. The normal product is 5.5 oz and sells for $10.99 the value of this sample was $1.99

The Soap Box – Gelato in Yellow Polka Dot Bikini March 12, 2012

Here is another product from my first Soap Box from Fortune Cookie Soap. this is the mini Gelato in Yellow Polka Dot Bikini. It smells like a lemon poppyseed muffin – not too strong – just perfect.  These are meant to be placed into a bath – they will create bubbles and scent the water.  It is supposed to be soothing and refreshing.

Again I only take showers so I didn’t use it – but I did give it to a co-worker to use.  This is probably the cutest bath product I’ve ever seen! It really does look like a scoop of ice cream or gelato.

I went a little overboard taking photos of this one – but it is just SOOOOO cute that I couldn’t help it!

This was a 2 oz sample. The normal product is 6 oz and sells for roughly $7.00  the value of this sample was $2.33.
