Neutrogena® Nourishing Eyeliner – Review June 12, 2012

Today I bring you the Neutrogena® Nourishing Eyeliner that I received from bzzagent.com. The PR for this liner states:

    • Built-in sharpener and smudger create your perfect look, from precise definition to smoky effect
    • Glides on smooth and wears all day; won’t smudge or fade
    • Dermatologist & ophthalmologist tested
    • 4 shades: Cosmic Black, Brushed Pewter, Spiced Chocolate, Twilight Blue
    • Retail price $7.99

I received this in the color “Cosmic Black” which you might think would be shimmery or glittery; well that’s what I think of when I hear Cosmic… but it is a normal flat matte black. Though it isn’t “waterproof” I can vouch that it doesn’t go anywhere when caught by an onslaught of tears.  What is neat is it is very forgiving, if you make a mistake at first you can use your finger to get it back into place or you can smudge everything out to give it a more smokey/blended look.  It has a built in smudging tool as well as a sharpener for the most precise tip I’ve ever seen on an crayon. You can see the smudger’s work below!

Overall I really like it and have been using it constantly over the last few weeks. I want the other colors now – and they need a purple one!

Would I buy this product again? Yes, for the price it is amazing.

Will I finish the sample? Yes!!!

Neutrogena Healthy Skin® Brightening Eye Perfector – Review June 11, 2012

Today I bring you the Neutrogena Healthy Skin® Brightening Eye Perfector that I received from Bzzagent.com to try and give feedback on. The PR on this product is:

  • Instantly brightens, conceals dark circles, and evens tone
  • Flow-through brush allows for flawless coverage on-the-go
  • Clinically shown to reduce the appearance of under-eye puffiness and dark circles
  • Broad spectrum SPF 20
  • 4 shades: Fair, Buff, Light, Medium
  • Retail price $13.99

Guess what? For once Fair is actually fair – it is the right color for me.  I like the SPF 20, that delicate area under your eyes just doesn’t have as much protection as other areas.  It really does brighten the eye area.  Be careful if you have fine lines – this can sink in and crack a little.  A little goes a long way, and I’d personally not use the applicator brush – you are just asking for unsanitary conditions, plus it is harder to control how much you use. Instead I twist until I get a tiny bead and put that on my ring fingers and pat it gently into the under eye area.

Would I buy this again? No, it is nice, but my bb cream evens my skin out enough that even my under eye circles are mostly corrected.

Will I finish the product? I’ll keep it around and use it occasionally.

Neutrogena revitalizing lip balm Review May 21, 2012

Through BzzAgent I recently had the ability to try the Neutrogena revitalizing lip balm. I wasn’t sure about this at first. The packaging said that within a week my lips would show visible improvement so I decided to take a photo so I could accurately remember.

In the meanwhile I tried the product and used it exclusively for the next 7 days. I was lucky enough to get three beautiful colors, (L-R) Healthy Blush, Sunny Berry, and Petal Glow.  Each of these provided a wash of color that enhanced my natural lip shade.  It felt nice on my lips just like any balm should, and was neither shiny nor matte.  If nothing else they are a nice substitute for my other tinted balms.

A week flew by, and I took an after photo (both photos were taken without lip product on) and I was amazed at the improvement in my lip’s texture. The normal flaky skin that I have on my bottom lip through the winter and spring was gone -typically I don’t see that disappear until a few days into summer.

These are available at your local drug store, usually for about $9.00

Will I buy this again? Yes, I like the colors, the texture, and the nourishing effects

Will I finish the sample? Absolutely – these are great!
