I’ve had a chance to use and review all of the products from April and decide on how much I liked them. So now it is time to do my bag wrap up.

In case you don’t remember, here is a summary of the Awesomeness level:

Box Awesomeness Level Review (AL)

  • 5 points for an item that surpasses everything else I’ve tried and becomes my #1 choice for what role it fulfills
  • 4 points for an item that becomes added to my permanent collection of cosmetics and I will repurchase
  • 3 points for an item that joins my “I might buy this again” list
  • 2 points for an item I finished or will finish the entire sample of but in the end decided not to re-purchase
  • 1 point for an item that I tried and immediately threw out/gave away
  • 0 points if the item was a duplicate of something from a previous bag/box/kit that only scored a 1 in that box – meaning I knew enough to not even bother with trying it.
  • Don’t forget that I subtract 1/2 point for samples that can only be used 2 or fewer times.

Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencil – Junkie – Review

Whew, almost done with my April samples – and May’s boxes are coming steadily in.  Yikes!

Today I bring you the Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencil in Junkie that I received as part of my MyGlam Bag in April.  This is a tealish green shimmer liner.  This particular color is only available in the travel set of 5 so I was super excited to get it since I otherwise would not buy the set of five and never have the chance to experience this awesome color. Now you may not think it is a very wearable color, but used in moderation it can look quite lovely.

I was slightly concerned with the shimmer falling out, but there was no fallout and it didn’t irritate my eyes at all. I can easily wear it with a neutral eye as the highlight of the look. Here you can see how that comes out.  As you can see, on the skin the color is true to the container.

The color stays on all day. Unfortunately sometimes, due to my hooded eyes, the color does transfer to my lids. It glides on without tugging. Overall it is quite nice, and I would not hesitate to buy more Urban Decay 24/7 pencils.

Would I buy this again? Yes absolutely.

Will I finish the sample? Yep! it is an awesome color.

Here’s the breakdown:

Sample Size:  0.03 oz
Full Size:  0.04 oz
Full Size Price: $19.00
Sample Value: $14.25

All-Belle – False Eyelashes – Review April 28, 2012

In my April MyGlam bag I received the All-Belle – False Eyelashes in style 2822. These are apparently incredibly popular in Taiwan. I don’t have a ton of experience with falsies but I wore some for my wedding and a few times to get used to them before the wedding. I’ve looked at so many and most seem soooo fake – they are pretty but too dramatic for daytime wear. These looked like they could look fake, but then I tried them on the only thing that looked fake about these was the band – which is pretty typical (except for the Adele barely there band).  These looked soooo pretty on, just making my natural lashes enhanced a bit.  These are also fairly inexpensive, here is a link to a site I found that sells them in the US. The that came with them works OK, but not great. I prefer my clear duo. I’ll probably order some of these soon.

Will I buy these again? Probably!

Will I keep using this sample? Yep!

Here’s the breakdown:

Sample Size:  1 pair
Full Size:    10 pair
Full Size Price: $26.33
Sample Value: $2.63

DermStore – Lip Quench Moisture-Infusion Lip Treatment – Review April 20, 2012

Today I bring you the DermStore Lip Quench Moisture-Infusion Lip Treatment which I received in my April MyGlam Bag.  This is in the old school tube like Aquaphor lip balm comes in. Inside is a thick pink gel that smells like original flavor bubblicious bubble gum. It goes on basically clear.  So how does it work?

1 word … Awesome! I read some other people’s reviews and they didn’t like the idea behind it since it was for “thin” and dry lips. People are worried that it is going to be like those super tingly glosses that are supposed to give you the Angelina Jolie lips. This doesn’t tingle at all, and it has really improved the smoothness and moisture content of my lips.  I’m quite happy with it. My lips were in horrible condition all winter and this has really helped get my lips back to where they should be.

Would I buy this again? I actually already did! I placed my order with Dermstore today to use my March discount code and this was one of my items.

Will I finish the sample? Yep! as long as I don’t lose the tube 🙂 but I will soon have a backup  just in case!

Here’s the Breakdown:

Sample Size: 0.21  oz
Full Size:   0.21 oz
Full Size Price: $12.00
Sample Value: $12.00

Hurray – I received my MyGlam Bag today. I had already gotten the sneak peeks off their Facebook page, and today I looked online too thinking I wouldn’t get mine till mid-next week (as their tracking number told me) so I discovered the remaining item through that.  Anyway, I’m pretty thrilled with this bag.  This was not amazing but it was definitely a really nice one compared to one off the previous ones.  I’ve already tried two of the products and am in love.

.

So, what was in it?
